About Pearl Grading
At Harmony Pearls, we try our best to follow the AAA-A System of pearl grading, as clearly explained on the Pearl-Guide Forum, which is the world's greatest source of pearl information and a forum for pearl experts and pearl lovers.
The AAA-A system grades pearls on a scale from AAA to A, with AAA being the highest grade. A brief description of each of the grades is as follows:
* AAA : The highest-quality pearl, virtually flawless. The surface has a very high luster, and at least 95% of the surface is defect-free.
*AA : The surface has a very high luster, and at least 75% of the surface is defect-free.
*A : This is the lowest jewelry-grade pearl, with lower luster and/or more than 25% of the surface shows defects.
